Currently, StreetRoute Cloud API can be used to obtain estimated time and distance between a location point and a destination point. These calculations are based on real-time traffic and road conditions.

Our upcoming release is set to provide enhanced user flexibility through a suite of configurable ‘Option’ parameters, allowing greater control over route customization.

Improved Routing Options for 'getDistance'

• Time Parameters: Define:
  • departAt: Set a departure time.
  • arriveAt: Desired arrival times for precise scheduling.

• Route Types: Optimize your journey by selecting:
  • Fastest (time-efficient).
  • Shortest (distance-efficient).
  • Eco (fuel-efficient).
  • Thrilling (non-highway, adventurous routes).

• Traffic Considerations:
  
  • Default: True (accounts for real-time traffic).
  • Option: False (provides average time and distance).

• Avoid Options: Exclude specific features such as:
  • Toll roads, highways, ferries, unpaved roads, tunnels, border crossings, low emission zones and carpool roads.

• Travel Modes: Additional modes include:
  • Bicycle.
  • Motorcycle.

• Vehicle Restrictions: Tailor routes based on:
  • Vehicle weight, dimensions and height.
  • Maximum speed limits.
  • Commercial status and load type.

New 'getDistanceMultipoint' Endpoint

This feature allows users to:

• Plan routes with multiple waypoints.
• Specify stops along a journey using a colon-delimited set of coordinates.
