With Build 5159 we've merged Global MatchUp and MatchUp into a single product, making maintenance much easier and updates more regular.
With this update, Domestic licensee users will now see Global matchcodes and data files, but usage is license driven. Programmatically calling global matchcode functionality without license will result in your application's initialization to fail. If you have an existing set of matchcodes you use in production, please back up mdMatchup.mc before installation. Installing this Global MatchUp update will not overwrite your matchcode file, but backup is good practice and is recommended.
While the distributed Global matchcodes are good all-around matching strategies, Global processing presents a new set of possible data quality issues. Because countries have different address formats and layouts, this may require editing the default matchcodes by the developer to ensure accurate record matching.
See Build History: https://releasenotes.melissa.com/on-premise-api/matchup-object-global/ for a list of required changes with this update.
This will be the final installer/update that includes the sample code and the interfaces necessary to run MatchUp. We'll be providing those next quarter via a GITHUB repository making them available on demand, and which will simplify future update releases.
