Top 4 APIs for Contact Verification

Being able to clean and verify contact data seamlessly inside your already existing processes is crucial to any business’s success. Not only will it help you create a great customer experience, it will also help you prevent fraud, cut unnecessary costs and waste, and help you streamline your data capturing processes.

An API (Application Program Interface) is a great way to enjoy the benefits of clean, quality address and contact data without having to create or set up new software. They easily integrate into your existing applications and have the flexibility to scale with your business needs. You can use them in single or batch processing.

We’ve identified four of our APIs that can help you start on a path of data quality success. Use them to standardize addresses for mailing, verify callable phone numbers for marketing, or create a clean email list to protect your sender reputation. Each result comes with result codes that break down the data you’ve submitted to tell you whether it’s complete and verified or has errors, as well as your now-usable contact information.

  1. Global Address: Use the Global Address API to correct, verify and standardize global addresses for about 250 countries and territories. All you have to do is input the address and you’ll receive your result codes, as well as a breakdown of all the address components. The Global Address API is great for webforms that collect addresses in real time, like for an ecommerce site or for fundraising efforts, or to validate addresses before you start a direct mail campaign. You can view our quick demo on Global Address here.

  2. Global Email: Use Global Email to verify the deliverability of an email address. Along with your result codes, you’ll get a wealth of information about the domain such as domain organization, address, locality and dates. You can capture emails with Global Email when people sign up for something like a newsletter or to validate emails before you send an email blast to many people to protect your sender reputation. View our demo on Global Email here.

  3. Global Phone: Use Global Phone to validate that an input phone number is active. With your result codes, you’ll receive a breakdown of the number including country, carrier (North America only), and time zones. You can use Global Phone to verify phone numbers as they come in, before you call out, or as they are filled in on a website or webform. View our demo on Global Phone here.

  4. Global Name: Use Global Name to validate and parse ethnically-diverse first and last names, with result codes to tell you more about each name you input. This will help you detect fake or suspicious names as they enter your database. View our Global Name demo here.

You can mix and match what APIs you need. Maybe you want a name and email address verified from customers visiting your website, or address and phone number before you send a package.
