Product Advisory: SSIS SQL Server 2014 End of Support
As part of our commitment to providing the most secure and high-performing data quality tools, Melissa is transitioning its support focus to modern SSIS environments. Beginning August 2026, Melissa will officially end support for the SSIS 2014 platform, which includes Visual Studio 2013 and SQL Server 2014.
We understand that platform migration is a significant undertaking for any enterprise. However, to maintain the highest security standards and to leverage the advanced features of modern SQL Server engines, we believe it is in our clients' best interest to transition away from the SSIS 2014 environment.
Support Roadmap
Melissa has expanded its officially supported SSIS platforms to include the latest releases, ensuring full compatibility with 2025 and 2026 enterprise environments:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2025/2026 (Planned) – Full support for the latest AI-ready engines and Visual Studio 2022+ extensions.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2022 – Recommended stable platform for existing long-term deployments.
- Azure Data Factory (SSIS Integration Runtime) – Support for "lift-and-shift" cloud migrations.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2017 & 2019 – Continued maintenance support.
Status of Deprecated Components
Following the August 2026 deprecation, Melissa's SSIS 2014 components will enter a "static" state. This means they may no longer receive:
- New data fields or result codes.
- Performance optimizations.
- Security patches or bug fixes.
- Compatibility updates for new operating systems.
Our development team is now fully focused on the 2025/2026 product cycle.
