Product Advisory: SQL Server 2014 & 2016 End of Support

As part of our commitment to providing the most secure and high-performing data quality tools, Melissa is transitioning its support focus to modern SSIS environments. Beginning August 10, 2026, Melissa will officially end support for the SSIS 2014 platform (Visual Studio 2013 and SQL Server 2014). Then, February 2, 2027, support will also end for the SSIS 2016 platform (Visual Studio 2015 and SQL Server 2016).

We understand that platform migration is a significant undertaking for any enterprise. However, to maintain the highest security standards and to leverage the advanced features of modern SQL Server engines, we believe it is in our clients' best interest to transition away from the SSIS 2014 and SSIS 2016 environments.

Support Roadmap

Melissa has expanded its officially supported SSIS platforms to include the latest releases, ensuring full compatibility with modern enterprise environments:

• Microsoft SQL Server 2025/2026 (Planned) – Full support for the latest AI-ready engines and Visual Studio 2022+ extensions.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2022 – Recommended stable platform for existing long-term deployments.
• Azure Data Factory (SSIS Integration Runtime) – Support for "lift-and-shift" cloud migrations.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2017 & 2019 – Continued maintenance support.

Status of Deprecated Components

Following their respective deprecation dates, Melissa’s SSIS 2014 and SSIS 2016 components will enter a "static" state. This means they will no longer receive:

• New data fields or result codes
• Performance optimizations
• Security patches or bug fixes
• Compatibility updates for new operating systems

Our development team is now fully focused on the 2025/2026 product cycle.
