Microsoft SQL Server 2012 End of Support – Melissa SSIS 2012 Platform Deprecation

Effective: July 24th 2023

Dear SSIS 2012 Customer:

As of July 12th, 2022, Microsoft has ended support for its SQL Server 2012 platform. This change will also end Melissa’s support for its SSIS 2012 platform. Beginning July 24th, 2023, Melissa will officially end support for the SSIS 2012 platform, which consists of Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server 2012. We understand that performing a migration to another supported platform is a significant task. However, to maintain security standards and with the lack of support from Microsoft for SQL Server 2012, we believe it is in our client’s best interest to deprecate Melissa’s SSIS 2012 platform.

Existing SSIS 2012 users are encouraged to transition to other SSIS platforms officially supported by Melissa.

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2019 – Microsoft Visual Studio 2019
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2017 – Microsoft Visual Studio 2017
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 – Microsoft Visual Studio 2015
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2014 – Microsoft Visual Studio 2013

Once the SSIS 2012 platform is deprecated, Melissa’s SSIS 2012 components will remain static and will not receive updates such as new fields and options. Melissa’s remaining officially supported SSIS platforms will continue to receive updates. Melissa’s officially supported SSIS platforms are identical in terms of services and options available.
